If you want to transfer a domain name from one registrar company to another, you will need a unique authorization code, which may be referred to by different names – an EPP authentication code, an Auth code, a domain name password, etc. All these names denote one and the same thing – a code that the domain name registrant receives from the current domain name registrar and gives to the new one upon ordering. Without a valid code, a transfer process cannot be started and this is one of the protection mechanisms against unwanted transfer attempts used with all generic and with most country-code extensions. For even better security, the code comprises of digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you wish to transfer one of your domain names, you need to supply the new registrar company with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Web Hosting

If you have a domain name registered through our company and you have a web hosting account with us, getting its EPP transfer code is exceptionally easy. You will not need to log in and out of different user interfaces, since you can manage all your domains through the exact same Hepsia Control Panel, which is used to manage your hosting account. You will see all existing domain names as soon as you sign in and next to the domains whose extensions require a code in order to be transferred away, you’ll notice a small EPP icon. All it takes to get this code is to click the icon. The code is always sent to the domain owner’s email account, so in case the one that you gave initially is not valid anymore, you can edit it with a few clicks from the exact same section.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

You can quickly obtain the transfer authentication code for any domain name registered under a semi-dedicated server account if you would like to transfer it away. This can be done through the very same Control Panel, via which you administer your account, so you won’t have to go through different Control Panels. All you will need to do is go to the domain management section of the Control Panel and click on the EPP button associated with the domain name that you’d like to transfer, on the condition that its extension supports transfers with such a code. Our system sends all codes automatically to the domain owner’s email address listed in the domain name’s WHOIS record, so if the email address that is currently listed is outdated, you can edit it with several clicks without the need to leave the domain management section of the Control Panel.
